Our Local "Dove" Story

Raising three children on her own, my mother sure knew tough times, tough love, commitment, and perseverance. She worked two, sometimes three jobs while furthering her education. In 1978, my grandmother, my mother, siblings and I, moved to southern Hillsborough county in Florida. Just about 10 years later, my mother had come home and announced she quit her job; she wanted to start a family business.

My brother, Rick, had a background in the flooring industry and suggested we open a carpet store. In September of 1991, we opened the doors of Dove Carpets, renting a small space in the Sun Pointe Shopping Center where the community warmly welcomed us.

Today, almost 30 years later, we are Dove Interiors Carpet One Floor & Home, a Hunter Douglas Gallery, and a cabinetry center. Our business model was simple; our customers told us their needs and we delivered. Thanks to our customers, Dove Interiors has grown so much over the years and continues to expand accordingly.

What makes us different?

Selection: Our flooring department offers a large selection of carpet, hardwood, laminate, ceramic, porcelain, and stone tile, luxury vinyl tile, resilient flooring, and area rugs. Besides floors, we tile backsplashes and walls with a huge line of decorative tiles which include glass, metals, stone, and slate. Additionally, we have expanded our window treatment department bringing in designer fabrics for custom valances, cornices, and drapery! We also have quality cabinetry options.

Knowledge & Service: At Dove Interiors Carpet One Floor & Home, we are not just trained sales professionals, installation technicians, and product experts; more importantly, we are your neighbors and we strive to provide you a genuinely helpful experience.

Community Involvement: Giving back to our community means a lot to us. We participate each year in the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers race, in order to support the 9/11 first responders as well as Building For America's Bravest. We also do local work with Toys For Tots, a program that helps less fortunate children receive new toys to play with.
